Our client, a leading organisation in the water infrastructure sector, is seeking a Project Manager to support civil engineering works in Whitehaven. This is an initial six-month contract, with the potential for ongoing work, and the successful individual may also undertake Site Manager responsibilities where required.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing the delivery of civil engineering projects within the water infrastructure sector
Co-ordinating site activities, subcontractors, suppliers and project teams
Overseeing programme, quality, health and safety requirements
Supporting or undertaking Site Manager duties as required
Monitoring project progress and addressing operational issues effectively
Ensuring temporary works are planned, managed and delivered safely
Maintaining accurate project records and communicating updates to relevant stakeholders
Job Requirements:
Experience managing civil engineering projects, ideally within water or utility infrastructure
Ability to operate effectively as both a Project Manager and Site Manager
Strong understanding of construction health and safety requirements
Valid SMSTS certification
Knowledge of temporary works procedures and management
Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to co-ordinate multiple activities and maintain project momentum
Availability to start as soon as possible
