How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Learning Support Assistant – Newcastle
    Full-Time | £95–£115 per day | Ongoing Opportunity

    The Education Network is seeking a caring, patient and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Newcastle.

    This is a full-time, ongoing opportunity, offering a rewarding chance to make a real difference to students' learning, confidence and development.

    Key Responsibilities
    As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

    Provide one-to-one and small-group support to help students engage with their learning.
    Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning tasks.
    Support students with special educational needs (SEN) and additional learning needs.
    Encourage positive behaviour, participation and confidence in the classroom.
    Help create a supportive, inclusive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed.
    Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to meet students' individual needs.The Ideal Candidate
    We are looking for someone who has:

    Recent experience working with young people - must within the past two years.
    A patient, caring and positive approach.
    Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
    A genuine passion for education and supporting young people's development.
    An enhanced DBS check, or a willingness to complete the required checks with our support.Pay & Opportunity

    Pay: £95–£115 per day, depending on qualifications and experience.
    Location: Newcastle.
    Working pattern: Full-time.
    Contract: Ongoing on a long term basis.
    Start date: ASAP.
