How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Great digital marketing doesn't come from simply filling a calendar. It comes from understanding what stops the scroll, keeps people watching and brings audiences back. As Content and Social Media Manager at The Avenue, you'll have the freedom to create, test and learn while helping shape the online presence of a growing property brand and its network of partner agents.

This is a hands-on opportunity where you'll be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering our day-to-day activity across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube. This is an opportunity to influence how a growing property brand communicates with its audience, using performance data and creative thinking to influence what The Avenue does next.

    What’s in it for you

£30,000 to £35,000 salary, depending on experience.
Hybrid and field-based working across the West Midlands.
Genuine ownership of The Avenue's day-to-day channels and creative direction.
Freedom to experiment with new formats, platform features, creative concepts and emerging technology.
The chance to influence both a growing central brand and the performance of its partner agent network.
A culture built around TEST → LEARN → ADAPT → SCALE, where new ideas are encouraged and every test is an opportunity to learn.

Your responsibilities as Content and Social Media Manager

Manage and execute the social media strategy across key platforms, ensuring consistent, engaging and relevant activity.
Own the publishing calendar, schedule and day-to-day activity across key platforms.
Create and edit Reels, TikToks, Stories, Shorts and other content, developing strong concepts, hooks and formats.
Test different edits, Trial Reels, platform features and creative approaches, using results to decide what to develop further.
Plan seasonal, reactive and behind-the-scenes property material, working with videographers and other creatives where higher-production support is needed.
Repurpose existing material into multiple assets while monitoring trends, creator culture and emerging opportunities.
Work with partner agents to identify opportunities, review performance and turn audience insights into practical recommendations.

What we’re looking for in a Content and Social Media Manager

Proven experience managing business social media channels, including planning, scheduling, publishing and campaign execution.
Strong working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok and short-form video, including hooks, retention and storytelling.
Confident filming and editing skills, supported by a portfolio showing work you've personally created.
Experience interpreting social analytics and turning performance data into clear ideas and recommendations.
Strong copywriting skills and an understanding of how content should adapt across different platforms and audiences.
Practical experience using AI, emerging technology and new platform features to improve creative output.

Property or estate agency knowledge would be useful, but it isn't essential. The Avenue is more interested in the quality of your work, your understanding of digital platforms and the results you can demonstrate than the sector you've worked in previously.

If you want the freedom to create, experiment and influence what a growing property brand does next, apply online for the Content and Social Media Manager position with your CV and portfolio.

The Avenue would particularly like to see short-form video, accounts you've worked on, campaigns and examples of ideas you've personally helped bring to life
