How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Graduate Education Support Assistant - Psychology, Child Development & Related Subjects
    Primary Schools | Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities | Aspire People

    Aspire People are recruiting graduates who are looking to use their degree and transferable skills within a primary school environment.

    This is an excellent opportunity for graduates who are passionate about working with children and considering a career in education, SEND, psychology, pastoral support or teaching.

    We are particularly interested in graduates from subjects such as:

    * Psychology / Child Psychology
    * Child Development
    * Childhood Studies
    * Education
    * Sociology
    * Criminology
    * Counselling
    * Youth Studies
    * Health and Social Care
    * Other subjects with relevant transferable skills

    The Role:

    * Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
    * Helping children access classroom learning
    * Supporting pupils with SEND and additional needs
    * Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
    * Supporting social and communication development
    * Assisting with classroom activities and interventions
    * Building positive relationships with pupils
    * Working alongside teachers and support staff
    * Monitoring and feeding back on pupil progress

    The Ideal Candidate:

    * Degree educated in a relevant or transferable subject
    * Genuine interest in working with children and young people
    * Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    * Patient, empathetic and approachable
    * Interested in developing a career within education, SEND or child development
    * Previous experience with children is desirable but not essential
    * Willing to learn and develop within a school environment
