How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is a varied role where you’ll be right at the heart of the regional operation, supporting our contracts and operational teams, coordinating administration and helping to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
If you know your way around a construction environment and enjoy juggling priorities, keeping people organised and making sure the details are taken care of, we’d love to hear from you.
    What you’ll be doing
No two days will be quite the same. You’ll work closely with the Regional Manager and wider team, with responsibilities including:

    * Supporting and coordinating the administration team, including workloads, holiday and sickness cover
    * Managing two Administrators within the wider administration team
    * Providing day-to-day administrative support to the Regional Manager and senior team
    * Maintaining accurate contract files, records and archives
    * Liaising with our Buyer and operational teams regarding purchase orders
    * Processing delivery notes, plant invoices and supporting documentation
    * Providing administrative support across all departments
    * Maintaining subcontractor records and ensuring relevant documentation and compliance information is kept up to date

    * Preparing reports and operational documentation, including site paperwork, COSHH assessments, security clearances and diaries
    * Supporting tender teams with the collation and presentation of information for PQQs and quality submissions
    * Supporting, coaching and providing guidance to other members of the administration team
    * Working with colleagues across other regional offices to improve processes and find smarter ways of working
    What we’re looking for
Most importantly, you’ll already have administrative experience within the construction sector. This is important because we’re looking for someone who understands the pace, terminology and paperwork that comes with working in a construction environment.
