How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Workshop & Service Support Engineer

Working as part of our Process Cooling and Service team, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing and testing equipment returned to our workshop, preparing equipment and orders for dispatch, and providing technical assistance to customers and colleagues over the telephone. The role would suit an engineer who enjoys practical problem-solving and working with equipment, but who is equally comfortable speaking with customers and providing clear technical advice. You will play an important role in ensuring that equipment leaving the workshop is correctly prepared, tested and ready for use, while also helping customers resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.

    Technical Customer Support

    * Provide first-line technical support to customers by telephone and email.

    * Listen to customer issues, diagnose problems and provide practical troubleshooting advice.

    * Assist customers with equipment operation, fault-finding and basic technical queries.

    * Liaise with field service engineers and internal teams where issues require further investigation.

    * Escalate more complex technical problems appropriately.

    * Help customers identify parts or components required to resolve faults.

    * Provide clear, professional and customer-focused technical support at all times.

    Order & Service Support

    * Assist with the preparation of customer orders and equipment for dispatch.

    * Check equipment and components against orders and specifications.

    * Support the Service team with spare parts and repair requirements.

    * Ensure jobs are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.

    * Maintain appropriate workshop and service documentation.

    * Contribute to continuous improvements in workshop processes, testing procedures and customer support.

You may currently be working as a Service Engineer, Workshop Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Refrigeration Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Engineering Technician or Technical Support Engineer.

Experience within process cooling, refrigeration, HVAC, industrial machinery, plastics machinery or a similar engineering environment would be advantageous, but is not essential for the right candidate.
