How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Assistant Site Manager – Sittingbourne

    Location: Sittingbourne, Kent
    Position: Assistant Site Manager
    Project: 600+ Unit Residential Development
    Progression: Excellent opportunity to step up to Site Manager

    We are currently recruiting for an ambitious and experienced Assistant Site Manager to join the team on a major residential development in Sittingbourne.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Site Manager who is ready for the next step in their career, with the ideal candidate being someone who is already operating at a level close to Site Manager and looking for the right project to take that step.

    The Project

    * Major 600-unit residential development in Sittingbourne

    * Approximately 120+ units being delivered per year

    * Predominantly new-build houses

    * Combination of masonry and timber-frame construction

    * Approximately 3 years remaining on the project

    * High-performing, well-run development

    The project has already achieved significant recognition, having won a PIJ this year and being marked for Seal, demonstrating the quality and standards being achieved across the development.

    The Role

    As Assistant Site Manager, you will work closely with the Senior Site Management team, taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of your areas of the development. You will be expected to demonstrate strong leadership, organisation and commercial awareness, while maintaining high standards across health & safety, quality, programme and delivery.

    This role would particularly suit an Assistant Site Manager who is looking to progress into a Site Manager position and wants the opportunity to demonstrate they are ready for that responsibility.

    The Ideal Candidate

    We are looking for someone who has:

    * Proven experience as an Assistant Site Manager within residential housebuilding

    * Strong knowledge of traditional masonry and/or timber-frame construction

    * Experience working on large-volume housing developments

    * A strong understanding of NHBC standards, health & safety and quality

    * Excellent organisational and leadership skills

    * The confidence to manage subcontractors and drive programme

    * A proactive, hands-on approach to site management

    * The ambition and capability to progress to Site Manager

    If you're an Assistant Site Manager who feels you're ready to take the next step, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing development with a substantial programme of work remaining.
