How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

A growing and ambitious organisation operating within a specialist, customer-focused sector is looking for an experienced Head of Marketing to lead its marketing strategy across the UK and Europe.
This is a senior leadership position reporting directly into the Executive Team, with responsibility for driving brand growth, customer acquisition, engagement and commercial performance through innovative, measurable and data-led marketing.
The successful candidate will be a commercially minded marketing leader who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on understanding of digital acquisition, CRM, brand, content and customer journeys.
    The Role
As Head of Marketing, you will own and deliver the overall marketing strategy, ensuring it directly supports ambitious business growth objectives.
    You will be responsible for:
    * Developing and delivering the UK and European marketing strategy.
    * Leading and developing a high-performing marketing team.
    * Increasing customer acquisition, conversion and retention.
    * Strengthening brand positioning, awareness and market share.
    * Developing digital marketing activity across paid search, SEO, social, content and email.
    * Owning CRM, customer journeys, segmentation and marketing automation.
    * Using data and customer insight to continually improve campaign and conversion performance.
    * Overseeing website performance, UX and conversion optimisation.
    * Working closely with Sales to improve lead generation, nurturing and conversion.
    * Developing partnerships and industry relationships to support commercial growth.
    * Leading events, exhibitions and customer acquisition initiatives.
    * Managing PR, communications and reputation.
    * Managing external agencies and suppliers.
    * Owning the marketing budget and ensuring strong ROI.
    * Developing meaningful KPIs and reporting marketing performance to the Executive Team.
    * Identifying new markets, audiences and commercial opportunities across the UK and Europe.
    About You
We're looking for a senior marketing professional with a proven track record of delivering measurable commercial growth through marketing.
    You will ideally have:
Senior-level marketing leadership experience, including strategy, budget and team management.
A strong track record of delivering customer acquisition and revenue growth.
Excellent commercial awareness and the ability to demonstrate marketing ROI.
Strong digital marketing, CRM and customer journey experience.
Experience developing and implementing brand and content strategies.
A highly data-driven approach to marketing and decision-making.
Experience managing and developing marketing teams.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence at Executive and Board level.
Experience managing multi-channel and ideally multi-country marketing activity.
Strong experience working across lead generation, conversion and customer acquisition.
Experience within travel, education, training or another customer acquisition-led sector would be advantageous.
Experience marketing a high-value product or service with a longer customer decision journey would also be particularly relevant.
You will be commercially focused, strategic and analytical, but equally comfortable getting close to the detail and making things happen.
    Why Join?
This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious organisation where marketing has a genuine influence on the wider commercial strategy.
    You'll have the opportunity to:
    * Own and shape the marketing strategy across the UK and Europe.
    * Work closely with the Executive Team.
    * Lead and develop an established marketing function.
    * Have genuine influence over brand, customer acquisition and commercial growth.
    * Develop new markets and opportunities.
    * Work within a specialist and exciting sector
