How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

A growing construction consultancy in London is looking for an ambitious Assistant Project Manager to join their expanding team. The Assistant Project Manager will work across a strong pipeline of industrial and new-build developments, alongside selected commercial property projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager looking to gain broader project exposure, take on greater responsibility and progress within a supportive consultancy environment.

The successful Assistant Project Manager will typically have around 1-3 years' industry experience, although strong construction-related graduates will also be considered. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with experienced colleagues while being given the opportunity to lead smaller projects as their experience develops. For an ambitious Assistant Project Manager, the business can also provide APC support and a clear route towards chartership.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

    The Assistant Project Manager's role

The Assistant Project Manager will support the delivery of projects from the early stages through to completion, working closely with clients, consultants and contractors.

Responsibilities will include assisting with project programmes, coordinating design teams, attending client and site meetings, monitoring project progress and supporting the management of cost, quality and programme requirements.

As experience develops, the Assistant Project Manager will have the opportunity to take ownership of smaller projects and manage them directly, providing a strong platform for progression towards Project Manager level.

    The Assistant Project Manager

    The successful candidate will have:

1-3 years' Project Management or construction consultancy experience

A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline

Experience or an interest in industrial, logistics, new-build or commercial property projects

    Strong communication and organisational skills

A proactive attitude towards career development

An interest in working towards APC and professional chartership

    In Return?

    £35,000 - £45,000

    APC and chartership support

    Opportunity to lead smaller projects

Strong exposure to industrial and new-build developments

Clear progression towards Project Manager level
