MOT Tester

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading UK automotive tyre and fast-fit centre group, for an experienced MOT Tester to join their busy Trowbridge centre. Duties of a MOT Tester:
* Conduct MOT tests in strict accordance with Government standards and regulations
* Provide exceptional customer service by explaining results, repairs needed, and reasons for testing outcomes
* Support customers through the process and foster long-lasting relationships
* Identify and diagnose vehicle issues, supporting the team with repair and service work where applicable
* Maintain accurate records of inspections and communicate effectively with workshop colleagues
* Ensure the workshop operates efficiently and in compliance with safety standards
* Support the workshop team with additional duties as required
Requirements of a MOT Tester:
* Hold an active Class 4 and 7 MOT testing licence
* Possess a UK driving licence with minimal points
* Ideally qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent
* Alternatively, extensive vehicle mechanic experience with an active MOT licence
* Excellent communication skills and team-oriented attitude
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain high standards of work
