How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Conrad Consulting are excited to be working with an established main contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join their team on a major multi-million-pound new build project in Glasgow.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager to take responsibility for a significant package of works within a large-scale project, working alongside an experienced site team.

    The Role of the Site Manager:

    As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of works on site, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

    Responsibilities of the Site Manager:

    Managing subcontractors and site operatives on a daily basis

    Coordinating site activities and ensuring works are delivered in line with the programme

    Working closely with the Project Manager and wider project team

    Managing short-term programmes and lookaheads

    Monitoring progress, quality and productivity

    Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with health & safety requirements

    Attending site meetings and coordinating with subcontractors and stakeholders

    Identifying and resolving any issues that could impact programme or delivery

    Ensuring works are completed to the required specification and quality standards

    Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress to the project team

    Requirements of the Site Manager:

    We are looking for an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in large-scale new build construction.

    You will ideally have:

    Proven experience working as a Site Manager on large construction projects

    Experience delivering multi-million-pound projects

    Strong knowledge of construction processes and site management

    Experience managing subcontractors and site teams

    Good understanding of health & safety and quality requirements

    Strong organisational and communication skills

    The ability to work effectively within a large project team

    Previous experience with a Tier 1 or major main contractor would be advantageous
