How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.

    Job description

    Maintenance Electrician - Static Site (Enfield)

    An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Electrician - Static Site to join a leading Facilities Management company, working at a static distribution site in Enfield.
    This is a permanent, full-time position, with the successful candidate working at the site for 5 days per week. A full UK driving licence is required for use of the company pool van when on standby.
    The role offers a competitive salary package, with a basic salary of £40,599 per annum for candidates based outside the M25, or £42,062 per annum for candidates based inside the M25, plus £2,535 in annual standby payments.

    The Role

    As a Maintenance Electrician - Static Site, you will play a key role in delivering planned and reactive maintenance across the distribution facility. You will act as a first point of contact for maintenance issues, ensuring electrical systems, equipment, and associated building services operate safely, efficiently, and in accordance with current legislation and company standards.
    Working as part of an established facilities team, you will be responsible for completing PPM schedules, responding to breakdowns, diagnosing faults, and carrying out repairs and minor installations within your technical competence.
    The role is based at a static site in Enfield, providing the opportunity to develop a strong understanding of the facility and build effective working relationships with the site team.

    Key Responsibilities

    Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules within agreed timescales and ensure all documentation is accurately completed
    Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests, diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs
    Carry out inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems and emergency lighting
    Diagnose electrical faults across a range of commercial and industrial equipment
    Prioritise workloads to meet agreed response times and operational requirements
    Identify non-repairable faults and provide recommendations for replacement where appropriate
    Maintain accurate compliance, maintenance, and safety records
    Carry out minor electrical installations, alterations, and modifications within technical competence
    Conduct site surveys and produce detailed reports where required
    Undertake general building maintenance duties across the designated site
    Follow company purchasing procedures and accurately record material usage
    Liaise with site management regarding maintenance issues that may affect operations
    Work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors, and clients to maintain high service standards
    Participate in a 24/7 call-out rota and undertake standby duties as required
    Attend training and development programmes to maintain and enhance technical knowledge
    Comply with all company Health & Safety policies, procedures, and statutory requirements

    Qualifications & Experience

    To be successful in this Maintenance Electrician - Static Site position, you will ideally have:

    NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds 2360 Part 1 & 2, or an equivalent electrical qualification
    City & Guilds 2382 - 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
    AM2 and/or City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification - desirable
    Strong knowledge and practical experience of 3-phase electrical systems
    Proven experience maintaining and repairing a range of electrical and mechanical equipment
    Experience working with commercial catering equipment or similar specialist equipment would be advantageous
    Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
    The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a wider maintenance team
    A full UK driving licence for use of the company pool vehicle when required for standby duties
