How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the role

Teach Now is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant for an all-through special school in Enfield Primary and secondary pupils have a range of needs across the school, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), and trauma-related needs.
This setting combines personalised learning with consistent, relationship-led support. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you may help one pupil access a sensory activity and another manage a difficult transition. Working to individual plans, you will support communication, practical skills and emotional safety, adapting your approach to each pupil’s age, needs and strengths.
    Key responsibilities
    * Deliver classroom, 1:1 and small-group support across learning and independence activities.
    * Adapt resources and use agreed communication systems for autistic pupils and those with PMLD.
    * Use trauma-informed approaches and agreed de-escalation strategies to support SEMH needs.
    * Provide personal care and mobility support as required, within care plans and your training.
    * Support transitions and social interaction; share progress and concerns with teaching and pastoral teams.
    Requirements
    * School-based SEND experience is essential, supporting pupils with ASD, PMLD, SEMH or trauma-related needs.
    * Confidence adapting support across age groups and following individual learning and care plans.
    * A calm, consistent approach to distress and communication differences; relevant specialist training is desirable.
You must be based in the UK, have the right to work in the UK and be able to commit to a long-term placement. Visa sponsorship is not available. A strong commitment to safeguarding is essential.
    What this role offers
    * A full-time, long-term placement with time to understand pupils’ strengths.
    * Varied responsibilities across communication, emotional wellbeing and everyday independence.
    * Experience across primary and secondary provision in one special school.
    * The chance to apply your specialist skills within a collaborative school team.
