How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Casual Retail Relief Shop Manager

    Contract type: Casual (Zero hours contract)

    Hours: Casual (Mon – Sat on flexible basis)

    Salary: £13.38 per hour

    The Shakespeare Hospice based in Stratford- upon Avon is an award-winning Hospice offering services and facilities to day care patients, Hospice at Home, carers, and transitional young people with life limiting illnesses.  We offer counselling, complementary therapy, diversional therapy, occupational health and physiotherapy to our patients, carers and their families across South Warwickshire and surrounding areas.

    The Hospice has seven charity shops and an active online presence selling a variety of new and donated quality goods. Profits raised from our shops play a vital role in our income generation activities helping us to generate the £3 million per year it costs to deliver our services.

    We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated team player to join our retail shops teams to support with shop management cover and relief support. The Relief Retail Shop Manager will be responsible for the smooth operations of shops and projects they are covering and will work cooperatively with Shop Managers and the Retail Operations Manager to ensure the overall objectives of the retail shops are met.

    Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK.
