How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An established multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy is looking to appoint an Architectural Assistant - Part 2 to join their growing architectural team in Billericay. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Architectural Assistant - Part 2 looking to gain varied project experience within a supportive and collaborative environment.

    The successful Architectural Assistant - Part 2 will work across a diverse portfolio of projects, including education, residential, healthcare, social housing and public sector schemes. Working alongside Architects and other technical professionals, the Architectural Assistant - Part 2 will contribute from planning and detailed design through to tender and construction.

    The Architectural Assistant - Part 2 Role

    The Architectural Assistant - Part 2 will assist with developing scheme designs and producing detailed architectural and technical drawing packages using Revit and AutoCAD.

    Responsibilities will include preparing planning and Building Regulations drawings, producing working drawing packages for tender and construction, liaising with Building Control, consultants, contractors and specialist suppliers, and assisting with technical specifications.

    The Architectural Assistant - Part 2 will also undertake measured building surveys, attend site meetings where required and support the Project Architect during the construction phase. There will also be opportunities to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of individual projects under appropriate supervision.

    The Architectural Assistant - Part 2

    The successful Architectural Assistant - Part 2 will have:

    RIBA Part 2 qualification, or a recognised Master's/Diploma in Architecture providing Part 2 exemption

    Experience producing architectural and technical drawings

    Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD

    Understanding of UK Building Regulations and planning processes

    Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

    A proactive approach to professional development and progressing towards Part 3 qualification
