How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electrician – Housing, Repairs & Remedial Works

    Rate: £22.00 per hour
    Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00am–4:30pm | Friday 8:00am–1:30pm
    Overtime: Time and 1/3 after 37 hours
    Benefits: Company Van & Fuel Card provided (no personal use)

    We are currently looking for experienced Electricians to join a busy team carrying out electrical works across domestic housing properties.

    The role will involve a mixture of repairs, remedial works and insurance-related works, working across occupied and void properties.

    Typical duties will include:

    *

    Electrical repairs and maintenance within domestic properties

    *

    Fault finding and diagnostics

    *

    Remedial electrical works

    *

    Rewires and partial rewires where required

    *

    Installation and replacement of sockets, switches, lighting and other electrical accessories

    *

    Testing and inspection of electrical installations

    *

    Identifying faults and completing repairs to the required standard

    *

    Working safely within occupied and void properties

    *

    Completing relevant job sheets and documentation

    *

    Ensuring all work complies with current electrical regulations and health & safety requirements

    Requirements:

    Applicants should be fully qualified Electricians with previous experience working within domestic housing, repairs, maintenance or similar environments.

    You should be comfortable working independently, dealing with tenants/customers and completing jobs to a high standard.

    Package:

    £22.00 per hour with overtime paid at time and 1/3 after 37 hours.

    Working hours are 8:00am–4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00am–1:30pm Friday.

    A company van and fuel card will be provided for business use.
