Salary: £29,000-£33,000
Hours: full-time 40hours p/w Monday - Thurs 07:15 - 16:30 & Fridays 07:15 - 12:15
We are working with a sub-contract sheet metal fabrication business in Coventry, who are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Assembler to join their established and successful manufacturing team.
About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Assembler to join their production floor and helping bring their fabricated parts together into finished products.
Key Responsibilities
* Fit, align and assemble fabricated sheet metal parts to construct multipart sub-assemblies and final finished products
* Accurately install mechanical fasteners, including inserting and setting rivets, bolts, washers and other ancillaries.
* Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and assembly drawings
* Report any Health & Safety concerns, missing materials
* Use a range of hand and power tools and equipment safely
* Ensure work meets quality and customer requirements, inspect parts before, during and after assembly
* Support and guide other members of the team
* Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
About You
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Assembler
* Solid work history / Sheet metal background
* Ability to read and work from mechanical and assembly drawings
* Excellent attention to detail
* Good understanding of fabrication processes and workshop practices
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A reliable, professional and safety-focused approach
* Forklift license beneficial.
