How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEMH Teaching Assistant - Doncaster

    Are you an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity within specialist SEN schools in Doncaster?

    Academics, an established Education Agency, are acting as an agency and are recruiting an SEMH Teaching Assistant for temporary, ongoing supply work across a variety of specialist SEN schools in Doncaster.

    This SEMH Teaching Assistant opportunity would suit someone with experience supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Schools may have varied age ranges, with some settings also having post-16 provisions, so flexibility and experience across different age groups would be beneficial.

    Position: SEMH Teaching Assistant

    Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire

    Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply

    Pay: £92.56 - £100 per day (dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)

    Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you

    About the Role

    Working as an SEMH Teaching Assistant in Doncaster, you will provide support to pupils with a range of additional needs within specialist SEN environments.

    The SEMH Teaching Assistant may support learning, behaviour, emotional regulation, communication and independence, working closely with teachers and wider support teams.

    Support pupils with SEMH and additional needs
    Provide classroom and individual support where required
    Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation
