How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Psychology Graduate - SEN Teaching Assistant

    Trauma & Mental Health School | Maidenhead | ASAP Start

    Are you a Psychology Graduate looking to gain valuable experience working with children with complex mental health and Special Educational Needs?

    Would you like to work alongside experienced psychologists, therapists and specialist staff in a supportive school environment?

    A highly regarded specialist school in Maidenhead is looking for a Psychology Graduate to join their team as an SEN Teaching Assistant, supporting children aged 5-11 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, trauma and complex learning difficulties.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a Psychology Graduate looking to develop their experience before pursuing a career in Educational, Occupational or Clinical Psychology, Therapy, Mental Health or SEN teaching.

    You will work closely with the school's psychologists and therapists, with opportunities to shadow sessions, learn from experienced professionals and develop a deeper understanding of trauma, mental health and complex SEN.

    The school is looking for someone who is:

    Passionate about supporting children with additional needs
    Patient, empathetic and open-minded
    Proactive and able to use their own initiative
    Adaptable and confident working with challenging situations
    Interested in developing a career within Psychology, Mental Health or SENPrevious experience working with SEN or vulnerable children is desirable but not essential. Experience supporting children or adults in any relevant setting will be considered, including personal experience. Graduates from related subjects such as Psychology or Criminology are also encouraged to apply.
