About the Role
Help children build confidence and independence as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant in Havering. Working alongside teachers, you will make classroom activities accessible and encourage pupils to participate in daily school life.
You will adapt tasks under the teachers guidance, reinforce routines and build trusting relationships. Sharing observations about pupils learning and engagement will help staff respond to changing needs and recognise progress.
This structured, supportive setting offers the opportunity to combine practical classroom support with a clear focus on inclusion. The role would suit a patient, reliable Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant who enjoys helping children learn and grow.
Requirements
Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or comparable setting.
Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and willingness to follow school procedures.
Right to work in the UK and suitable references.
An enhanced DBS check, or willingness to complete the required checks.
Clear communication with pupils, teachers and other school staff.
Ability to follow a teachers direction and support agreed learning activities.
