How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Stable service | Clear leadership autonomy | Therapeutic, long-term care | Strong organisational support

Are you an experienced Registered Manager ready to lead a trusted and established Children’s Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) home in Birmingham? This is your opportunity to manage a home where stability, quality, and long-term outcomes truly matter—and where you’ll have the autonomy to make a real difference.

At this home, consistency and structure are key. You’ll be trusted to lead confidently, develop your team, and provide young people with a safe, predictable, and therapeutic environment where progress and personal growth are at the heart of care.

    Why This Role Stands Out

Run a stable, well-established service with strong organisational support.

Shape the culture of the home and lead your team with clarity and confidence.

Focus on long-term therapeutic outcomes rather than constant firefighting.

Make a tangible impact on the lives of children with EBD.

    Package & Benefits

    Salary £70,000 - £75,000 per annum.

28 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

    Company pension scheme.

Funded training and ongoing professional development.

On-call rota with additional payment where applicable.

    About the Company
You will be joining a reputable provider with a long-standing commitment to safeguarding and delivering high-quality, consistent care for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties. The organisation values stable leadership, realistic care planning, and homes that feel safe, structured, and genuinely supportive.

    Your Key Responsibilities

Hold full Ofsted registration and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.

Lead, supervise, and develop the staff team, maintaining clear standards and accountability.

Oversee day-to-day operational management, ensuring safe and high-quality care.

Drive stability, positive outcomes, and a consistent therapeutic environment.

    About You

Proven experience as a Registered Manager in a children’s EBD home.

Strong experience leading Ofsted inspections and maintaining compliance.

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, or actively working towards it.

A passionate leader who values structure, clarity, and therapeutic care.

This is more than a job—it’s a chance to make a real difference while leading a supportive and well-resourced home.
