How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

DarcyBrook Procurement & Supply chain are working with an engineering organisation who are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Manager with a strong background in mechanical engineering. A critical requirement for this position is extensive experience in sourcing mechanically engineered components from Asian markets.

    Candidate Profile

Global Leadership: Proven senior-level experience bridging mechanical engineering and strategic purchasing, with a successful track record operating across Asian and European markets.

Manufacturing Expertise: Deep, practical understanding of machined component manufacturing. You know exactly how parts are manufactured, how to accurately model their costs, and how to proactively identify potential quality risks.

Approach: Highly practical, energetic, and driven

    Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain Expansion: Identify, evaluate, and cultivate top-tier third-party machining partners—with a heavy focus on the Asian market—to build a resilient, scalable supply network for future growth.

Technical Sourcing: Leverage your manufacturing expertise to oversee the procurement of highly complex machined parts, ensuring all vendors fully grasp and consistently meet strict technical specifications and quality benchmarks.

Commercial Strategy & Cost Reduction: Drive vendor negotiations and continuously scrutinise total acquisition costs. You will pinpoint opportunities to maximise margins and achieve sustainable savings without sacrificing product performance.

Inventory & Production Alignment: Synchronise vendor output and part availability with internal manufacturing and build schedules, guaranteeing a steady, reliable flow of materials to our assembly and testing hubs
