How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Ensure support plans are person-centred, outcome-focused and co-produced wherever possible.

    *
Ensure effective safeguarding procedures are followed.
    *
Work closely with families, commissioners, social workers, health professionals and other stakeholders.

Promote Positive Behaviour Support and least restrictive practices.
    *
Manage recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal and staff development.
    *
Maintain appropriate staffing levels, rotas and training requirements.
    *
Complete audits, records, reports and CQC notifications to the required standard.
    *
Manage budgets and contribute to the financial viability and development of the service.
    *
Support referrals, occupancy and the future growth of the service.
    *
    Contribute to a 24-hour on-call rota.
    About You
You will be an experienced care professional with a strong background in supported living, autism, learning disabilities or another relevant care setting, together with proven management experience.
    You will ideally have:

    *
Understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and DoLS.
    *
Experience of safeguarding, risk assessment and positive risk management.
    *
Experience managing budgets and service performance.
    *
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    *
The ability to lead by example and motivate a team.
    *
A genuine commitment to supporting people to achieve greater independence.
A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent Registered Manager qualification) and qualifications or experience relating to autism, learning disabilities or Positive Behaviour Support would be advantageous.
    Why Apply?
