We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Planner / Scheduler to join a well-established contractor working within the Social Housing sector.
This is a busy, fast-paced role focused on the day-to-day planning and coordination of repairs and maintenance works across occupied properties.
You’ll be responsible for managing operative diaries, booking appointments, monitoring jobs and making sure works are scheduled efficiently and completed within agreed timescales.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and scheduling daily workloads for operatives and subcontractors.
Managing diaries to maximise productivity and minimise travel time.
Allocating repairs, maintenance and planned works.
Booking and rearranging appointments with residents.
Monitoring job progress and arranging follow-on works where required.
Liaising with residents, operatives, contractors, clients and internal teams.
Ensuring works are completed within agreed SLAs and KPIs.
Updating internal systems with accurate job and appointment information.
Tracking outstanding works and ensuring appointments are arranged promptly.
Handling inbound and outbound calls relating to repairs and appointments.
Escalating issues that could impact service delivery.
Supporting the wider team with workload and resource planning.
About You
We’re looking for candidates with previous experience in a repairs, maintenance or social housing planning/scheduling environment.
You’ll ideally have:
Previous experience as a Repairs Planner, Works Planner, Maintenance Planner, Scheduler or Repairs Coordinator.
Experience scheduling workloads for operatives, engineers or contractors.
Strong organisational and diary management skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
The ability to work under pressure in a high-volume environment.
Good IT and administration skills.
Experience working to KPIs and SLAs.
Social Housing / Repairs & Maintenance experience is highly desirable.
Please note: this is a repairs and maintenance planning role, rather than a construction/project planning position.
