Working as part of the estimating team, you will provide day-to-day administrative and coordination support throughout the tendering and estimating process. You will help keep tenders organised, ensure information is issued and received correctly and support the Estimators with the preparation and administration of tender submissions.
The role offers hybrid working, combining time in the Central London office with the flexibility to work from home.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Providing administrative support to the Estimating and Pre-Construction team
* Assisting with the preparation and submission of tenders
* Managing tender documentation, drawings, specifications and supporting information
* Downloading and distributing tender documents to the relevant team members
* Maintaining tender trackers and ensuring key dates and deadlines are monitored
* Assisting Estimators with obtaining quotations and following up subcontractors and suppliers
* Updating spreadsheets and tender information
* Preparing and formatting documents, reports and presentations
* Uploading and managing information through online tender portals
* Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, clients and internal project teams
* Keeping estimating records and databases up to date
* Providing general administration and coordination support to the pre-construction team
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a construction environment, ideally supporting an Estimating or Pre-Construction team. Experience within commercial fit out would be particularly advantageous although this is not essential. The key requirement is an understanding of the construction tendering process and experience providing administration or coordination support to Estimators.
You will ideally have:
* Previous experience in a estimating support or pre-construction role
* Experience supporting an Estimating team or Quantity Surveyors
* Good understanding of construction documentation and tender processes
* Strong administration and organisational skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
* Ability to manage multiple tenders, deadlines and priorities
* Confident communication skills when dealing with subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams
