Salary: £41,371 Per Annum

Overview:

First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking a Multi Skilled Carpenter to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out repairs, maintenance and adaptations within the Building Division, providing a professional and high-quality service to customers while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Carry out a range of repairs and maintenance works, including hanging doors, fitting and overhauling locks, window repairs, flooring repairs, kitchen units, fencing and patch plastering.
Undertake minor plumbing repairs, including taps and WC cisterns.
Carry out wall tiling, bath panel fitting, pipe ducting and casing, and other associated multi-trade tasks.
Complete all work to contract specifications, within agreed timescales and to a high standard.
Identify and report any issues where contract specifications or deadlines may not be achieved.
Work independently or as part of a team of skilled tradespeople.
Accurately measure materials and estimate time required for assigned work.
Complete relevant paperwork, timesheets and computer records accurately and on time.
Maintain tools, equipment and vehicles to a high standard and report any defects or incidents.
Maintain vehicle stock levels to support a right-first-time service.
Comply with all health and safety requirements and company policies.
Provide a professional and customer-focused service to residents and clients.
Undertake additional trade duties where competent and appropriately trained.
Skills and Qualifications:

City & Guilds qualification or time-served tradesperson.
Minimum 2 years' experience in repairs, maintenance or construction.
Full clean driving licence.
Good understanding of verbal and written instructions.
Strong commitment to delivering high-quality work and customer service.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work at height and undertake physically demanding duties, including walking, lifting and loading/unloading vehicles.
Willingness to undertake further training and development.
Understanding and commitment to equality and diversity.
Ability to establish effective working relationships with colleagues, customers and other parties.
Working at Height, Manual Handling or First Aid training is desirable.
