How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Alexander Steele are working in partnership with an ambitious, fast-growing consumer goods business with exciting plans for expansion across multiple channels and markets.

    As they continue to scale, they are investing in the operations and supply chain capabilities to ensure we they meet increasing customer demand whilst maintaining exceptional service levels. As such, they are looking to recruit a Supply Chain Manager.

    As the Supply Chain Manager, you will lead end to end operational planning, procurement and overall business service performance. You will be part of the E2E operations leadership team and have a direct report to execute daily activities and drive continuous improvement in our supply chain performance.

    This is an exciting opportunity to join at a pivotal stage of growth and play a key role in building the planning function, implementing best practices, and creating a scalable supply chain capable of supporting the future ambitions and the business

    On Offer

    * Base salary of £45,000 - £50,000

    * 25 days holiday + bank holidays

    * 5% pension

    Accountabilities

    * Leads execution of daily and weekly inventory and production planning through direct report

    * Monitor forecast accuracy and implement continuous improvements.

    * Accountable for delivery service SLAs

    * Provide clear communication to commercial teams on operational performance, projects and issues

    * Lead service performance across the chosen transport companies.

    * Manage replenishment plans for finished goods and raw materials.

    The Candidate

    * Previous Supply Chain, Planning and /or Procurement experience within the FMCG, Consumer Goods and manufacturing industry.

    * Previous management experience.
