We are seeking adaptable, enthusiastic, and confident Cover Supervisors to join our supply teaching agency. This is a casual, temporary position offering ultimate flexibility—you choose the days you want to work, from single mornings to full-time weekly bookings.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into local secondary schools to manage classrooms when the regular teacher is absent. Your primary focus is keeping students safe, focused, and on-task. You do not need to be a qualified teacher, as all lesson content is fully planned and provided for you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise lessons across various subjects using the work left by the absent teacher.
* Maintain good behavior and ensure a safe, positive learning environment.
* Assist students with their work and answer any general questions.
* Collect completed work at the end of the lesson and return it to the department.
* Follow school policies, including safeguarding and behavior management guidelines.
Who We Are Looking For
This role is perfect for graduates, aspiring teachers, sports coaches, or individuals with youth-work experience who possess strong communication skills and a confident presence.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children or teenagers aged 11–16 (e.g., coaching, mentoring, tutoring, camp leading, or volunteering).
* Excellent classroom management skills with a firm but fair approach.
* High adaptability and the ability to thrive in new, fast-paced school environments.
* An Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for a new one through us).
* Eligibility to work in the UK and a minimum of two professional, checkable references.
