How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Anderson Knight is proud to be partnering with a well-established Glasgow-based organisation to recruit an experienced Employee Relations Adviser.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ER specialist who thrives in a fast-moving environment and enjoys managing a varied and complex caseload. You'll play a key role in supporting managers across the business, providing pragmatic, commercially focused advice on a wide range of employee relations matters while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policy.

    The Opportunity

Reporting into the HR team, you'll be the go-to expert for employee relations support, working closely with managers to navigate challenging people issues and drive fair, consistent outcomes.

This role would suit someone who is confident handling sensitive matters, enjoys building strong stakeholder relationships, and can effectively manage a busy and demanding workload.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Manage a high-volume and varied employee relations caseload, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability, conduct and performance matters.

    * Provide clear, practical and commercially focused advice to managers across the business.

    * Support and lead investigations, hearings and appeals where required.

    * Ensure all ER activity is managed in line with employment legislation, company policies and best practice.

    * Produce accurate documentation, case reports and recommendations.

    * Identify emerging trends and risks, implementing proactive solutions to support the wider business.

    * Partner with HR colleagues and business leaders to deliver a consistent and positive employee experience.

    * Contribute to ongoing improvements in HR processes, policies and ways of working.

    About You

We're keen to speak with HR professionals who have:

    * Strong experience in an Employee Relations-focused role.

    * A proven track record of managing complex ER cases from start to finish.

    * Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.

    * Experience influencing and coaching managers at all levels.

    * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

    * The ability to remain calm and effective when working under pressure.

    * Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

    * CIPD qualification (or working towards) would be advantageous, but is not essential.

    What's on Offer?

    * The opportunity to join a successful and growing organisation.

    * A varied and challenging role with significant stakeholder exposure.

    * Supportive HR team environment
