Academics are currently recruiting for a fantastic Teaching Assistant opportunity at a welcoming mainstream primary school in Ashford, Kent.
This school has a high level of SEN across the setting and is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday.
You do not need extensive school or SEN experience to apply - the school welcomes applications from anyone with the right attitude, a genuine interest in supporting children and a willingness to learn. Experience working with children is always desirable, whether that has been within a school as a teaching assistant, nursery, youth setting, sports environment, care role or through volunteering.
The Role:
Supporting pupils across the primary age range with their learning and development
Providing additional support to pupils with SEN and additional needs
Working alongside class teachers and other school staff
Helping create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
Supporting pupils with their confidence, independence and social development
Building positive relationships with children and encouraging them to reach their potential
The Ideal Candidate:
Enhanced DBS held or willing to obtain one
A genuine passion for working with children
Patient, caring and approachable
Reliable and committed to working Monday-Friday
Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential
SEN experience is welcomed but full training and support can be providedThis is a great opportunity for someone looking to build their experience within a primary school, as well as experienced Teaching Assistant who are looking for their next role.
