TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School in the Vale of Glamorgan who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant. The school provides a supportive learning environment where pupils of all abilities are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and achieve their potential.
The school is looking to take on a flexible Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, providing 1:1 support to children with Additional Learning Needs / ALN. The successful Teaching Assistant will help pupils to regulate, remain focused and engage with their learning, adapting their support to enable each child to produce the best work they can.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
• Experience working with children with Additional Learning Needs / ALN
• Experience providing 1:1 support within an education setting
• An understanding of strategies to help children regulate and maintain focus
• A patient and supportive approach to working with pupils
• A passion for helping children of all abilities reach their potential
• Flexibility and the ability to adapt to individual pupils’ needs
