How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Cubed Talent is proud to be partnering with an established Yorkshire textiles manufacturer with a 100 year heritage, supplying customers across the UK and internationally, to find a capable Accounts all-rounder to cover a period of maternity leave.

    If you like a finance role with genuine variety - a bit of everything rather than one narrow lane - and you're after part-time hours that leave room for the rest of life, this one's worth a look. 20 hours a week across 4 days, in a friendly, employee-owned business.

    The role

    Reporting to the Managing Director, you'll keep the finance function ticking over across payroll, ledgers, banking and reporting. It's a hands-on, self-sufficient role, so you'll be comfortable owning your workload and getting on with it.

    What you'll be doing

    Payroll — running monthly payroll for hourly and salaried staff, submitting to HMRC and the pension provider, and answering staff pay queries.

    Ledger management — sales ledger (invoices, statements, credit control and weekly sales reports) and purchase ledger (processing invoices, monthly supplier payment runs, checking statements and handling supplier queries).

    Banking — daily reconciliation of all bank accounts, preparing payments, reconciling credit card and petty cash, and managing cashflow.

    Financial reporting — quarterly VAT returns, maintaining and reconciling prepayments, monthly journals and ad-hoc reporting.

    What we're looking for

    Experience of payroll processing is essential, along with solid Excel skills and the confidence to work independently. Experience with Xero and BrightPay would be a real bonus, but isn't essential.

    Hours & benefits

    * £16 – £18 per hour depending on experience

    * Part-time: 20 hours per week, worked across 4 days — great work-life balance

    * Employee Ownership Trust - you'll be part of an employee-owned business, with a genuine stake in its success

    * Regular team events

    * Monthly rewards

    * On-site parking
