How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Location: Milton Keynes
Are you a confident communicator who genuinely enjoys helping customers, solving problems and making sure things get sorted?
We are recruiting a Customer Account Coordinator to join the Internal Sales team of a well-established global engineering and technology business based in Milton Keynes.
This is a busy, customer-facing role where you’ll build relationships with customers, answer queries, resolve issues and work closely with internal teams to provide a consistently high level of service.
You’ll need to be someone who can remain calm and professional under pressure, particularly when an order is delayed, a delivery date changes or a customer needs an urgent resolution.
    The Role
Working closely with customers, Sales and other internal departments, you’ll be responsible for:
    * Answering incoming customer calls and responding to queries regarding products, pricing, deliveries, invoices and order progress
    * Building strong relationships with customers and providing a friendly, professional service
    * Taking ownership of customer enquiries and seeing them through to resolution
    * Managing more challenging situations when orders or deliveries don’t go to plan, keeping customers informed and working internally to find solutions
    * Responding to escalated customer issues in line with agreed procedures
    * Keeping colleagues and management updated on customer accounts and escalations
    * Developing relationships with key customers to support retention and future growth
    * Working closely with External Sales Engineers, supporting them with customer requirements and sales administration
    * Developing a good understanding of the company’s ERP system and internal processes
    * Supporting the accounts receivable process, including invoice queries and invoices in dispute
    * Following up on outstanding payments when required
    * Working towards customer service, productivity and quality targets
    What we’re looking for
You’ll be someone who enjoys dealing with people and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.
    You’ll also need:
    * Previous customer service, account management, sales support or similar experience
    * Excellent communication skills and the confidence to speak directly with customers
    * The ability to remain calm, positive and professional in a busy and sometimes pressurised environment
    * Confidence dealing with difficult conversations when there are delays or problems to resolve
    * Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage several priorities at once
    * Good problem-solving and analytical skills
    * A proactive, self-motivated approach
    * The ability to work independently while being part of a busy team
    * Good Microsoft Office skills
    * A genuine desire to help customers and get things resolved
    What’s on offer
You’ll be joining a successful international organisation with a collaborative and supportive culture, where people are encouraged to develop and build their careers.
Benefits include: company bonus, 25 days’ holiday plus Bank Holidays, pension, private medical cover, subsidised onsite lunches, employee rewards and retail discounts, plus ongoing training and development.
    The Selection Process
The recruitment process will include online testing followed by first and second-stage interviews at the Milton Keynes offices.
If you’re a confident, customer-focused person who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and keeping a cool head when things don’t quite go to plan, apply now.
Please note: Due to the high volume of applications, if you have not heard from us within 5 working days, unfortunately your application has not been successful on this occasion
