Padstone Recruitment is currently recruiting for Fire Alarm Engineers for our commercial client in the Kent/Ashford area.
Key Responsibilities:
To install, commission, service and fault find the fire systems on customer premises.
Awareness and Compliance with code of practice and industry regulations.
Ensure wiring duties meet with BS 5839 Part 1, Part 6 and BS 7671 (wiring regulations).
Ensure all fire alarm systems are BAFE compliant.
Installation of wired and wireless fire alarm systems, in line with specification, drawings and current regulations Programming of systems to ensure fully operational.
Fault diagnosis of existing systems where testing of electrical connections will be required.
Adhering to all Health & Safety requirements as detailed within the health and safety management system, risk assessments and method statements.
Use of mobile device to receive, update and communicate all tasks assigned to job holder.
Ensure company vehicle is kept clean, tidy and presentable at all times and in line with company fleet requirements.
Wear and maintain all issued uniform clothing ensuring that it is clean and presentable at all times.
Attend all mandatory training (Health & Safety, Fire, Asbestos, Working at Height etc) that has been arranged.
Be responsible for keeping updated on changes in industry for working with electricity to maintain competence.
Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards customers, colleagues and third parties at all times and undertake all tasks as appropriate.
To work at all times in accordance with company policies, procedures and ethos.
Hours: 45 hours per week. Overtime available if desired.
