Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities?
Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a dedicated full-time SEND Teaching Assistant to work across primary schools in Rotherham, supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced TA who enjoys helping children overcome barriers to learning and wants to make a genuine difference in the classroom.
The Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils with SEND across KS1 and KS2.
Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required.
Support children with ASD, ADHD and other additional needs.
Help pupils to access the curriculum and develop their confidence and independence.
Work closely with class teachers and other support staff.
Assist with classroom activities and learning interventions.
Help promote positive behaviour and create an inclusive learning environment.
Provide pastoral and emotional support where appropriate.
Adapt your approach to meet individual pupils' needs.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Has previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school.
Has experience supporting SEND pupils within the classroom.
Has experience working with children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
Has experience supporting children with ASD and/or ADHD.
Is patient, caring and able to build positive relationships with pupils.
Can work effectively as part of a wider school team.
Is confident supporting pupils with a range of learning and behavioural needs.
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.A Team Teach qualification, or similar behaviour management qualification, would be highly beneficial, although this is not essential.
