The Position - Restraint Trained Teaching Assistant

A highly regarded primary school in Lewisham is seeking a dedicated and resilient Restraint Trained Teaching Assistant (TA) to join their team ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or Behaviour Support Worker who has relevant restraint training and is confident supporting pupils with challenging behaviour.You will be working closely with a Year 3 pupil who can present with challenging behaviour and may require physical intervention as part of their individual support plan. The successful candidate will need to remain calm and consistent during challenging situations, use positive behaviour management strategies and have the confidence to follow the school's agreed procedures when physical intervention is required. A Team Teach qualification or equivalent recognised restraint/positive handling training is highly desirable.
