About the role and school

Teach Plus are currently working with a welcoming primary school in Ealing who are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Sports Coach to join their team from ASAP. This Sports Coach role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced PE professional to deliver engaging PE lessons across the school and run a range of after-school sports clubs. The successful Sports Coach will inspire pupils to develop their physical skills, confidence, teamwork and enjoyment of sport within a supportive primary school environment.

The school is a well-established two-form entry primary school serving a diverse local community in Ealing. The school has a strong ethos centred around inclusion, respect and high expectations, with a dedicated leadership team committed to providing pupils with a broad and balanced curriculum. Behaviour is well managed through clear and consistent expectations, while the school places strong emphasis on pupil wellbeing, enrichment and developing positive relationships. The school benefits from a good range of indoor and outdoor facilities to support PE, physical activity and extracurricular sport.

This Sports Coach opportunity would suit an enthusiastic PE specialist, Sports Coach or experienced teaching assistant with strong sports knowledge who is confident delivering activities to primary-aged pupils. The Sports Coach will play an important role in promoting active lifestyles and encouraging pupils of different abilities to participate and enjoy sport. With a part-time Monday to Friday timetable and a focus on both curriculum PE and after-school clubs, this Sports Coach role provides an opportunity to make a positive impact across the school community.

Job Responsibilities

· Deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons to pupils across the primary school
· Plan and adapt sports activities to meet the needs and abilities of individual pupils and groups
· Lead a variety of after-school sports clubs and extracurricular activities
· Encourage pupils to develop physical skills, teamwork, confidence and a positive attitude towards sport
· Maintain high expectations for behaviour, participation and safety during PE sessions and sports activities
· Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to support the wider PE and enrichment curriculum
Qualifications/Experience

· Experience as a Sports Coach within a primary school or in a similar role
· Strong subject/curriculum knowledge relevant to the role
· Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
· Right to work in the UK
