The Role
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed Maths teacher to join a well-established secondary school in Trelford, with an ideal start date of as soon as possible.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Maths teacher who is passionate about helping young people develop their mathematical understanding, confidence and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons, supporting students across the relevant secondary age range.
The school is looking for a Maths teacher who can quickly establish positive relationships with students, maintain high expectations and contribute positively to the wider Mathematics department.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons across the relevant key stages.

Teach engaging and appropriately challenging lessons to students of varying abilities.

Monitor and assess student progress, using information to inform future teaching.
*
Establish positive relationships with students and maintain high standards of behaviour.
*
Differentiate learning effectively to meet individual student needs.
*
Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Mathematics department.
*
Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate.
*
Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.
Requirements
The successful candidate will ideally:

Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
*
Have experience teaching Mathematics within a secondary school environment.
*
Have strong subject knowledge and confidence teaching Mathematics.
*
Be able to teach effectively across KS3 and/or GCSE.
*
Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
*
Be adaptable, reliable and able to settle quickly into a new school environment.
*
Have high expectations of students and a commitment to improving outcomes.
*
Be passionate about Mathematics and able to inspire and engage learners.
*
Have an enhanced DBS or be willing to undergo the necessary safeguarding checks.
Previous experience working within a secondary school setting is desirable, although applications from teachers at different stages of their careers will be considered.
