TARA are delighted to be working with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Telford to recruit an English teacher for a long-term maternity cover position, starting after October half term.
This is an excellent opportunity for an English teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging, challenging and inspiring lessons and who wants to make a genuine difference to young people's education.

The Role
As an English teacher, you will join a committed and collaborative department and take responsibility for teaching English across the secondary age range, with a particular focus on GCSE-level teaching.
You will:

Deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Teach towards GCSE examinations and support students in achieving their academic potential.
*
Plan and deliver lessons that challenge, motivate and inspire learners.
*
Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback.
*
Establish positive relationships with students and contribute to a calm, supportive learning environment.
*
Work collaboratively with colleagues within the English department and across the wider school.
*
Contribute to the wider life of the school and its enrichment opportunities.
The successful English teacher will be someone who can bring enthusiasm, creativity and strong subject knowledge to the classroom while maintaining high expectations for all learners.
What we're looking for
We would love to hear from you if you are an English teacher who has:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
*
Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching English at secondary level.
*
Experience delivering GCSE English Language and/or Literature.
*
A genuine passion for English and for helping young people succeed.
*
High expectations of behaviour, progress and achievement.
*
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
*
The ability to build positive, professional relationships with students and colleagues.
*
A flexible, proactive and positive approach to school life.
