Aztrum is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and highly respected Architectural practice in Chorley that is entering an exciting period of growth. Specialising in Healthcare Architecture, this award-winning practice has built an outstanding reputation for delivering innovative projects across the NHS and private healthcare sectors, including hospitals, mental health facilities, primary care centres and specialist healthcare environments.
Due to a strong pipeline of secured work, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Architect who can take a leading role across a range of Healthcare projects, oversee project delivery and contribute to the continued growth and development of the practice.
Key Responsibilities for this Senior Architect role:
Lead the design and delivery of complex Healthcare projects across multiple RIBA work stages
Take responsibility for the day-to-day management and progression of projects, ensuring they are delivered to programme, budget and quality standards
Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including internal staff, consultants, contractors and specialist stakeholders
Produce and review detailed technical information and coordinated BIM models using Revit
Oversee planning applications, Building Regulations submissions and technical design packages
Work closely with NHS Trusts, clients and key stakeholders, attending meetings, design workshops and site visits
Ensure projects comply with UK Building Regulations, Healthcare Technical Memoranda (HTMs) and Health Building Notes (HBNs)
Provide technical and design guidance throughout the project lifecycle, resolving complex issues as they arise
Support and mentor junior members of the team, helping to develop technical capability within the practice
Contribute to design reviews, quality assurance and the continued improvement of project delivery processes
Key Requirements for this Senior Architect role:
ARB-registered Architect
Strong proficiency in Revit is essential
Significant experience delivering projects across multiple RIBA work stages
Previous Healthcare experience is highly desirable, with knowledge of HTMs and HBNs advantageous
Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, planning processes and technical detailing
Proven experience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
Confident communicator with strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage projects and competing priorities independently
Strong leadership, organisation and problem-solving skills
