How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    CNC Miller
    Permanent Position
    Monday – Thursday 8am-4:45pm, Friday 1:30pm finish

    Our client are a leading manufacturer providing specialist solutions to a variety of industries such as aerospace, power generation, rail and oil and gas industries. They are looking for an experienced Toolmaker to join the team on a full time, or part time 3 – 4 days per week basis.

    Job Summary:

    To be familiar with all Albright components machined on Robo Drill CNC, Saw & Manual machines within the machine shop.
    To be familiar with materials, tooling and machining methods used on CNC & Manual machines.
    Be competent with setting & programming Robo Drill CNC(Ability to use Reinshaw Software), Saw & Manual, ensuring that all tooling is correctly
    set so that components are manufactured correct to drawing dimensions.
    Ensure that CNC & Manual machines are set and run efficiently so as to minimise the amount of down time between component change
    overs.
    Be able to measure components produced on CNC & Manual machines fully, using various inspection equipment so as to ensure that
    components are manufactured to drawing dimensions and tolerances.
    Ensure that machines are cleaned of swarf & that oils/coolants are checked daily or as required.
    Ensure that we apply the concept of continual process improvement on all machines as required to produce parts as effectivily as possible.
    Qualifications:

    Recognised Certificate in Mechanical Engineering & Robo Drill CNC Programming required along with a good knowledge of CNC machining metholodgy.
    Good knowledge of H&Safety within the workplace.
    3 - 5 years experience in a similar manufacturing environment and position. Good practical understanding of turning & milling processes
    covering setting and programming of Robo Drill CNC, Using Reinshaw Software & Manual machines.
    Previous working knowledge on a Robo Drill CNC mill using Reinshaw probing is eccential
    Computer / keyboarding Skills, along with competent Hand Tooling & Inspection Measuring Equipment usage.
    Good eye for detail, and the ability to read engineering drawings and specifications. 
    Benefits

    Working hours: 39 per week, 8:00 to 16:45 Monday to Thursday, 8:00 to 1:30pm on Friday
