How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Job title: Complex Care Team Leader
    Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire
Pay rate: £19.00 per hour weekdays / £21.00 per hour weekends + Holiday Pay
Shifts and schedule: Working as part of a 24/7 complex care package. Exact hours and shift pattern to be confirmed.

Thriving Healthcare is excited to present an opportunity for an experienced Team Leader to take a key on-the-ground leadership role within a new complex care package in Rotherham.

You will lead a dedicated team supporting an individual living with a severe acquired brain injury and significant physical disabilities in their own home.

This is much more than a traditional senior Support Worker position.

We are looking for somebody capable of taking ownership and accountability at package level – building a positive culture within the team, maintaining professional standards, promoting consistency and ensuring the client's rehabilitation goals remain at the heart of the support being delivered.

Our client is articulate, engaging, funny and sociable, but their brain injury significantly affects their cognition, behaviour and relationships. The successful Team Leader will therefore need to understand the importance of professional boundaries, consistency, resilience and relationship-building within complex care.

You will work closely with Thriving Healthcare's Registered Manager and the wider multidisciplinary team to establish a stable, well-trained and rehabilitation-focused support team around the client.

    Salary & Benefits:

£19.00 per hour weekdays. + Holiday Pay
£21.00 per hour weekends. + Holiday Pay
Holiday pay can be taken with weekly pay, or accrued and taken on request - no time limits or cut offs.
    Extensive client-specific and multidisciplinary training.
Opportunity to lead and develop a newly established support team.
Ongoing support from Thriving Healthcare's Registered Manager and management team.
    Dedicated learning and development opportunities.
Access to a wide range of free online courses.
Refer a friend scheme – earn up to £500 per referral.Company and Role:

Taking an on-the-ground leadership role within a 2:1, 24-hour complex care package.
Leading and supporting a dedicated team of Support Workers.
Helping establish a positive, professional and consistent culture across the package.
Ensuring support remains person-centred and focused on rehabilitation, independence and positive outcomes.
Leading by example and maintaining clear professional boundaries.
Supporting staff to understand the client's acquired brain injury, cognition, communication and behaviours.
Ensuring rehabilitation strategies and recommendations are consistently implemented by the support team.
Working collaboratively with the client's family and wider multidisciplinary team.
Maintaining effective communication between Support Workers, management and professionals involved in the client's care.
Identifying and addressing issues within the team before they affect the stability of the package.
Supporting staff development, competency and ongoing client-specific training.
Promoting continuity and ensuring the client receives consistent support across the wider team.Successful Applicant:

Previous experience leading or supervising a team within health, social care, complex care or a similar environment.
Confident taking responsibility and providing leadership within a client's home and community-based care package.
Strong understanding of professional boundaries and the ability to reinforce these across a wider staff team.
Resilient, emotionally robust and comfortable supporting staff through challenging situations.
Positive, energetic and capable of creating the right culture within a new team.
    Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Able to work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals and a multidisciplinary team.
Organised, reliable and capable of maintaining consistency across a large support team.
Previous experience supporting individuals with acquired brain injuries, neurological conditions, challenging behaviour or complex needs would be highly advantageous.
A rehabilitation-focused approach and a genuine commitment to promoting independence.
Willingness to undertake extensive client-specific and multidisciplinary training.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service would be highly advantageous due to the anticipated mobilisation timescale. This is an opportunity to play a central role in developing a new support team around one individual and to help create the stability, leadership and consistency required for the package to succeed long term.

If you're an experienced Team Leader looking for a role where you can genuinely influence the quality and culture of a complex care service, we'd love to hear from you.
