The role of a Pastoral Support Worker includes providing students with empathy and support in order to help them regulate their thoughts and emotions in a healthy manner. The school is keen to give these students a high quality of education while supporting their individual needs, and as a Pastoral Support Worker you will be working alongside class teachers and professionals based on site to achieve this. Located in Lewisham The responsibilities of a Pastoral Support Worker will include 1-1 student support, keeping students focused, monitoring attendance, effective communication and provide practical advice. This is a highly rewarding role and an opportunity to gain experience in SEN Education. The ideal candidate will have achieved a 2:1 or above in a university degree. Suitable experience could include working with SEN adults and/or children in similar environments or family level. The Pastoral Support Worker employed will be pro-active, adaptable, and ambitious and have the potential to commit to the full academic year. The students in this school require a Pastoral Support Worker who will understand their complex needs and is up to taking on challenges and dilemmas while being open minded.
