How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Our client is a growing technical production company delivering LED advertising and display solutions for football, rugby, racing and other major live sporting events across the UK. As part of their continued growth, this Technical Project Manager Live Events vacancy sits within their Operations team. The role is based at the company's head office in Glasgow, with regular travel throughout the UK and, as the business grows, potentially further afield.

This is a genuinely hybrid role for someone who is equally comfortable planning a project from the office and leading its delivery inside a stadium. You'll take ownership of projects from brief through to close-out, while remaining hands-on with the technical delivery, roughly 40% of the role is field-based, including matchdays, installations and site visits throughout the UK.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Own projects from internal brief through planning, delivery and close-out

    - Develop project plans, schedules, scopes of work and delivery requirements

    - Coordinate internal teams, freelancers, suppliers, equipment, logistics, travel and accommodation

    - Act as the central point of communication between the company, clients, venues and internal teams

    - Track project costs and support accurate quotation and cost control

    - Attend fixtures, installations and site visits throughout the UK as the on-site project lead

    - Support the operation of LED perimeter systems, big screens, video walls, video processors and control systems

    - Troubleshoot technical and operational issues in live environments

    What You'll Bring:

    - Experience managing projects within live events, sports presentation, broadcast, AV, LED or technical production

    - Experience delivering projects in live, time-critical environments

    - Excellent organisational and project management skills

    - Strong client and stakeholder communication skills

    - Commercial awareness, including project costing and budget management

    - Confidence leading freelance and technical teams on site

    - Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK and work evenings/weekends in line with the football calendar

    - Full UK driving licence

Hands-on experience with LED control or playout software such as NovaStar or vMix will be a genuine advantage, though full training can be provided for the right candidate with strong AV/broadcast/live events technical grounding and project ownership experience.

If you're a technical project manager, account manager or experienced field operator looking to combine delivery with genuine ownership, we'd love to hear from you. Apply now or get in touch with Neo Recruitment for a confidential conversation
