How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Provide individualised support and tailored learning experiences for students with special educational needs and disabilities

    * Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and the wider school community to develop and implement effective teaching strategies

    * Foster an inclusive and nurturing environment that celebrates diversity and empowers students to reach their full potential

    * Assist with the delivery of engaging and interactive lessons, adapting materials and activities to meet the unique needs of each student

    * Monitor student progress, maintain detailed records, and contribute to the ongoing assessment and evaluation of learning outcomes

    * Support students with personal care, mobility, and other daily living activities as needed

    * Actively participate in professional development opportunities to continuously enhance your skills and knowledge

    Qualifications and Experience:

    * Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with a focus on supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities

    * Strong understanding of the diverse learning needs of students with SEND and the ability to adapt teaching approaches accordingly

    * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues

    * Demonstrable creativity and problem-solving skills, with the flexibility to overcome challenges and think outside the box

    * Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries

    * A relevant teaching or learning support qualification (e.g. , NVQ, BTEC, or equivalent)

    * Willingness to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check

    Requirements:

    * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

    * Right to work in the UK.

    * Relevant professional references.

    * Previous SEND experience is desirable but not essential.
