How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The Company
An established international renewable energy business specialising in the development and delivery of large-scale solar PV projects is expanding its UK commercial team.

The organisation provides end-to-end solutions across the project lifecycle, working on technically complex rooftop and ground-mounted solar installations in the UK and internationally.

    The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced solar or renewable energy sales professional to help grow the company’s UK utility-scale project portfolio.

You will identify and develop new commercial opportunities, strengthen relationships with clients and industry stakeholders, and manage opportunities through the sales process to contract award. The role requires a strong combination of commercial awareness, technical understanding and relationship management.

    Key Responsibilities
Identify and secure new utility-scale solar PV projects across the UK.
Develop relationships with developers, investors, landowners and other key stakeholders.
Manage existing client accounts while building a strong pipeline of new business.
Coordinate bids, tenders, pre-qualification questionnaires and invitations to tender.
Work with technical, legal and commercial colleagues to prepare competitive project proposals.
Support pricing, budgeting, commercial negotiations and contract reviews.
Monitor the sales pipeline and produce accurate forecasts and management reports.
Identify emerging market opportunities and contribute to the company’s UK growth strategy.
Attend client meetings, conferences and renewable energy industry events. Candidate Requirements
Substantial experience in sales, business development or project development within renewable energy.
Demonstrable knowledge of utility-scale or large-scale solar PV projects.
Experience managing complex, long-term sales cycles.
Confidence participating in commercial negotiations and contract discussions.
Previous exposure to EPC, construction or FIDIC-based contracts would be beneficial.
A good technical understanding of renewable energy projects, ideally supported by an electrical or engineering background.
Strong proposal, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
A proactive, commercially focused and self-motivated approach.
    Full professional fluency in English.
Willingness to travel to client sites and meetings throughout the UK
