How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    SEN Teacher

    Remedy Education are looking for a strong SEN Teacher to join a school based in Lewisham.

    This role is due to start at the end of September and will run for the first half term, with the potential to continue for longer if it is a good fit for both the teacher and the school.

    The school are looking for a confident and experienced teacher who has a strong background supporting pupils with special educational needs. The successful candidate will be able to plan and deliver engaging lessons, adapt learning to meet individual needs, and create a calm, structured and supportive classroom environment.

    Role Details:

    Position: SEN Teacher
    Location: Lewisham
    Start Date: End of September
    Duration: First half term, with potential to continue
    Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience
    School Type: SEN / Specialist Provision

    The Role:

    As an SEN Teacher, you will:

    * Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils with SEN
    * Adapt teaching to meet a range of individual learning needs
    * Create a structured, supportive and inclusive classroom environment
    * Support pupils with communication, engagement and emotional regulation
    * Work closely with teaching assistants, the SENCO and wider support team
    * Monitor pupil progress and use assessment to inform planning
    * Promote positive behaviour, confidence and independence

    The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

    * Qualified Teacher Status or relevant teaching experience
    * Strong SEN experience is essential
    * Experience teaching pupils with a range of additional needs
    * Confidence adapting lessons and resources to suit individual learners
    * A calm, patient and resilient approach
    * Strong behaviour management skills
    * Excellent communication and teamwork skills
    * A genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEN

    This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong SEN Teacher looking for a short-term role with the possibility of continuing longer in a supportive school setting.
