How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Cleaning & Waste Office Administrator | The Hurlingham Club | Fulham, London | £32,500 per annum + generous benefits | Full-Time, Permanent

Join one of the world’s finest private members’ clubs

Set within 42 acres of beautiful landscaped grounds beside the River Thames, The Hurlingham Club is a truly unique place to work.

Since 1869, our Club has been renowned for its exceptional sporting, social and hospitality experiences. Today, our dedicated teams work together across more than 20 specialist departments to create an outstanding environment for our members and guests.

We’re now looking for a highly organised and proactive Cleaning & Waste Office Administrator to join our team and support the Head of Cleaning & Waste in keeping this busy department running smoothly.

    The Role

This is a varied administrative role at the heart of the Cleaning & Waste Department. You’ll help coordinate schedules, manage records and stock, support procurement and ensure the department continues to operate efficiently and to the high standards expected at the Club.

While the role is predominantly administrative, you’ll also be happy to provide hands-on cleaning support during particularly busy periods.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Coordinating departmental schedules and rotas
Providing day-to-day operational and administrative support
Managing procurement, stock levels and orders
Maintaining accurate records and departmental data
    Supporting service standards and compliance
    Managing data entry and documentation
    Assisting with general office administration
Providing hands-on cleaning support during busy periods
Working closely with the Head of Cleaning & Waste and wider team
    What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is organised, dependable and confident taking ownership of their workload.

    You’ll ideally have:

Previous experience in an office administration, operations or similar role
    Strong organisational and time-management skills
Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook 365
Experience with data entry, record keeping and creating rotas
    A proactive, self-motivated approach
    Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
    Excellent attention to detail
The ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
Experience within cleaning, facilities, hospitality or a similar environment would be highly desirable.
Most importantly, you’ll share our commitment to excellence, responsibility and courtesy.
    Why Join The Hurlingham Club?

This is an opportunity to build your career within an organisation with a remarkable heritage, while enjoying a modern and supportive working environment.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:

    £32,500 annual salary
23 days’ annual leave, rising to 28 days after 5 years' service
Annual bonus scheme and annual pay review
    Generous contributory pension
    Free meals on duty
    Free onsite parking
Access to onsite sports and fitness facilities
    Weekly staff fitness classes
Health cash plan, life assurance and income protection
Enhanced family leave and sick pay
Employee Assistance Programme and mental health support
Season ticket loans and cycle-to-work scheme
    Ongoing training and development opportunities
Discounts at Club retail outlets and selected local businesses
Staff awards, recognition programmes and regular social events
The Club has also been recognised as an Investor in People since 2001, reflecting our long-standing commitment to developing and recognising our people.

    Ready for your next opportunity?

If you’re an organised administrator who enjoys variety, takes pride in getting things right and would love to work in one of London’s most distinctive private members’ clubs, we’d love to hear from you
