How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Food & Nutrition Teacher – Secondary School
    Location: Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire
    Start Date: ASAP
    Contract: Full-time maternity cover until March 2027
    Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
    Are you a Food & Nutrition Teacher looking for a new opportunity, or a DT Teacher with a willingness to teach Food & Nutrition?
    Smile Education are currently recruiting on behalf of a high-performing secondary school in Stratford-upon-Avon who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to cover a full-time maternity leave until March 2027.
    This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher looking for a long-term role within a successful and supportive school environment, with an immediate start available.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    Planning and delivering engaging Food & Nutrition lessons
    Teaching Food & Nutrition at GCSE level
    Creating a positive and engaging classroom environment
    Supporting students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential
    Preparing students effectively for examinations and assessments
    Maintaining high expectations of student behaviour and achievement
    Working collaboratively with colleagues across the department and wider school
    Contributing to the wider life of the schoolWe would love to hear from you if you are:

    A qualified teacher with QTS
    An experienced Food & Nutrition Teacher with GCSE Food experience, or
    A Science Teacher who is willing and confident to teach Food & Nutrition
    Passionate about education and committed to raising student achievement
    Able to build positive relationships with students and staff
    An engaging, enthusiastic and adaptable classroom practitioner
    Available for a full-time role from ASAP until March 2027
