How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

As part of your key responsibilities you’ll focus on:
MRP and Material Flow Management - Load customer and supplier schedules into MRP systems (IFS), update requirement plans, and distribute demand forecasts to maintain optimal inventory levels
Supplier and Customer Coordination - Act as the direct operational interface for series and aftermarket requirements, expediting material deliveries, tracking engineering changes, and managing runouts
Production and Logistics Support - Partner with shop-floor team leaders to track work progress, resolve material shortages, coordinate inbound/outbound transport, and prepare delivery paperwork
KPI Tracking and Performance Reporting - Monitor supplier/customer KPIs, analyse data, compile progress reports, and facilitate regular performance meetings
Continuous Improvement and SHE - Apply Unipart Way lean methodologies to streamline supply chain processes while actively adhering to site Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) procedures

    About You
We’d love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think you’d be able to perform well in this role!
Material Planning Experience - Proven background as a Material Planner or Inventory Controller within high-volume, short lead-time, Just-in-Time (JIT) manufacturing environments
MRP Systems and Data Proficiency - Active, hands-on experience using MRP/ERP systems (IFS experience is an advantage) alongside strong analytical and MS Excel skills
Supply Chain Exposure - Familiarity with managing complex component inputs, engineering change tracking, OEM customer demands, or fast-moving assembly lines
Lean and Problem-Solving Mindset - Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement tools, and a persistent approach to resolving supply chain bottlenecks under tight deadlines
